Palam Silk’s Swatantra

Hi Guys!!!

Recently, I got a chance to attend the Swantra show by Palam Silks. For the longest time, women haven’t had the choice to do as they please. But that isn’t how it is any more. Today, it is the woman who decides what a woman can do, and what she cannot. As it turns out, there is very little she cannot do. She can choose to be a homemaker, or a CEO, or both. She can choose to ride solo to the Himalayas, or stay single. She can choose to step over lines other people from other ages drew for her. She can decide to ignore outdated prejudices and she can shape her own future. This is a freedom movement that began before India’s independence and is still gathering strength. Palam Silks wishes to be part of this movement, and to celebrate the victories achieved so far. As part of Diwali and festive season portfolio, Palam presents four new collections that are tributes to women’s growing power of choice.

The Corporate Collection

Made of lightweight, wrinkle-free, subtly shaded silk, these Kanchivarams are as much at home in a boardroom as a wedding reception. Because women wish to choose not just their careers, but also the way they dress for them. The price ranges from 7,000 to 25,000.

The Magna Collection

With big, bold bhuttas, these Kanchivarams make a beautifully loud and clear statement, with magnified motifs and vibrant colors that burst on to the scene. Because women choose not to blend with the background. The price ranges from 15,000 to 24,000.

The Spectra Collection

Pure Kanchivaram silk, intricately interwoven with silk yarn that is dipped in brilliantly colorful dyes. Each saree is a masterpiece, with dozens of hours of painstaking, expert craft needed to achieve the dreamlike, shimmering colors. It’s what women wear when they decide to look stunning. Price ranges from 12,000 to 20,000.

The Vista Collection

This is fine art you can wear. Stunning landscapes and scenes from nature are woven with magical skill into the borders of authentic Kanchivarams. Paintings are not always made with a paint brush. Price ranges from 10,000 to 22,000

These 4 collections are available in all the 3 stores of Palam Silks in Chennai at Pondy bazaar, Luz church road (Mylapore) and Anna nagar 2nd Avenue. Do check them out, I promise you won’t regret it!
